About Caftan Club

We are a group of local Edmonds, WA residents who gather quarterly for fun and philanthropy!

We use a giving circle model to raise money for local nonprofits that serve women and children in Edmonds and the Greater South Snohomish County area.

Our members commit to making a donation of $100 to the chosen local nonprofit each quarter.

Our team is also behind community-wide events like the popular annual Edmonds Roper Romp that draws hundreds of attendees.

Please reach us at caftanclubedmonds@gmail.com if you need more information!

Members donate $100 each to the local nonprofit that has been selected that quarter. Donations are made directly by each member to the chosen nonprofit. To remain in good standing, members must show proof of their donation receipt to Caftan Club.

Members are not charged an additional membership fee to join.

This simple model allows Caftan Club to operate with nearly zero overhead. The combined donations made by the group make a significant impact to the chosen nonprofits without the need for time-consuming or expensive fundraising efforts.

So far, the executive leadership team has been choosing the nonprofits. As our membership grows, we will implement a process by which members can nominate a nonprofit ahead of our quarterly meeting. The executive leadership team will then provide due diligence to ensure the nonprofit is in good standing and aligns with our Club mission. Membership will then be asked to vote to select the nonprofit they would like the Club to donate to that quarter. The nonprofit with the majority of votes will be the chosen beneficiary for that quarter.

Nonprofits can only be the beneficiary of Caftan Club donations three times in a calendar year - either through quarterly donations or other special events.

Caftan Club's focus is on nonprofits that serve the needs of women and children in Edmonds and the Greater Snohomish County region.

Absolutely not! While some of us do get a kick out of donning our Roper-inspired gear, we invite our members to show up to our meetings and events however they feel comfortable.

Caftan Club is the result of six Edmonds women coming together with a desire to make an impact in the community while having a ton of fun!
